Beyond The Game shares learnings and stories from incredible legends in the sports community. Avner Belsky has been lucky enough to interview almost 100 captivating athletes, CEOs, broadcasters, and journalists, including Jim Gray (Emmy award winning journalist), Lenny Dykstra (MLB world champion), Josh Luber (co-founder of StockX), Carl Banks (NFL Champion), and Wes Durham (play-by-play announcer for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Atlanta Falcons).
Despite the 100 guests all being very different in their careers and backgrounds, three themes emerged: resilience, vision, and curiosity. These three themes create the organizing structure of this fast-moving book broken up into unique chapters celebrating 18 different legends and the stories they shared.
About The Podcast
My name is Avner Belsky, and I am the owner of Avner's Sports Throwdown, and the author of Beyond The Game. On this Podcast, I interview incredible broadcasters, CEOs, journalists, athletes and others in the sports and leadership arena. I have been lucky enough to talk to people like Jim Gray (Emmy Winning Journalist), Josh Luber (Founder of StockX), Adam Wexler (Founder of PrizePicks), Lenny Dykstra (MLB Champion), Sage Steele (ESPN Analyst), Carl Banks (NY Giants Superbowl Winner) and Wes Duham (Georgia Tech and Atlanta Falcons Announcer). The goal of the Podcast was to give these legends a platform to share their story, and hopefully, for a younger audience to get to tap into the wisdom and lessons they share.
